Parents In Partnership
Parents in Partnership (PiP) Structure:
Each of the academy’s three sites has a dedicated Parents in Partnership (PiP) Team, consisting of parent volunteers, staff representatives, and key stakeholders. Each PiP Team works to enhance communication, build strong relationships, and address the needs and concerns of the school community.
A Chair is appointed for each site, acting as the lead representative and the main point of contact between the school leadership and the parent community. These Chairs meet monthly with the Executive Headteacher to discuss school-wide strategies and issues raised by parents and carers, ensuring effective collaboration across the academy.
Objectives of the PiP Initiative:
- Strengthen relationships between staff and families with transparent communication.
- Actively listen to and address parent/carer feedback, suggestions, and concerns.
- Support the academy’s communication strategy to create an inclusive and engaging environment for families.
- Collaboratively solve school-related issues through a culture of trust and mutual respect.
Engagement Opportunities:
Parents/carers have regular opportunities to meet with staff, discuss their child’s progress, and receive a written report. In addition to these individual meetings, PiP Teams host regular events and workshops where parents/carers can discuss their child’s progress and engage in the life of the academy.
Communication and Feedback:
PiP Teams play a key role in gathering insights from the parent/carer community and ensuring these are addressed through collaborative efforts with staff. Parents/carers are encouraged to share feedback and engage in problem-solving discussions, ensuring that everyone’s voice is heard and valued.
