Jeans 4 Genes Day on Friday 22nd September was a real success and the final total raised for the charity was £152.

 

The students paid £1 to wear their jeans to school for the day and also brought in lots of cakes to sell and raise extra funds – everything that was left was sold to the parents after assembly.

 

During the day there were two competitions that the students could enter if they wanted to:

1)     

A national competition to design a pair of jeans for Spongebob Squarepants, this 

competition received lots of fabulous creative entries.

      

 

2)     

An academy competition where students decorated a pair of jeans, one student from each class was chosen as the winning designer.

The winners from each class were:    

Mohammed (Puffin)

Thomas (Robin)

Dylan (Kiwi)

Sophie (Owl)

Connor (Cabot)

Sarah / Luke M (Brunel)

      

 

The students enjoyed the different activities throughout the day and were very relaxed in their own clothes because they had a chance to show their own style and everyone looked fantastic.
